観光は、ホスト社会やゲストの文化に応じてさまざまな形を取って変化しています。現代日本の観光も同様です。少子高齢化社会であり、また、大規模災害が毎年のように起こる日本において、観光は、ホスト・コミュニティがサバイバルできるような形で展開されようとしています。こうした観光の在り方は、世界の他の社会の先駆けとなり、また、モデルとなり得るのではないでしょうか。この授業では、日本の観光の在り方を、観光まちづくりというキーワードを通して考察していきます。

This seminar focuses on the dynamism of culture in tourism. Through readings and fieldwork, students will learn a variety of theories and case studies from the perspective of socio-cultural anthropology.
